Elk hunt 2011
My timing on booking this hunt was not the best. I chose a time when we had a full moon for almost the entire duration of my hunt. That on top of the extremely hot temps that we encountered made this into a pretty difficult hunt. We had unseasonably hot weather that had temps into the upper 80's during the days. All of this lead to very quiet bulls with not allot of action. I can't say enough for my guide "Jordie" who had a very positive attitude in some difficult conditions. We ended up logging lots of miles by horse and by foot trying to find a legal Bull (6 point min area.), and were not having much luck in these conditions. On the last night before the end of the hunt I was ready to give in and start the 35+ hour drive back home and I was encouraged by the guides to stay and give the last half day a good shot. I did so and literally in the last minutes of my hunt we connected with a nice 6x6 Bull. Without the encouragement and efforts of my guide all week I would have left (and still felt it was a good hunt, full of memories). I am glad I stayed and finished the hunt. During this trip we saw lots of other speices including Mt.goat, Grizzly Bear, Black bear, Mule deer, and whitetails. It was a difficult hunt based on the poor planning on my part, and I was very happy with the outfitter and guides and am considering a mt. goat hunt with them in the future. I ranked them at 4 stars even with the hard conditions that I encountered during this hunt, we did not see tons of legal animals, only the one that I took home to be exact. I feel that my experience was due to my timing and that the outfitter and guides did everything to make this trip as good as possible, under the right conditions this would be an excellent hunt (as mine was, just maybe a bit better with more action)

Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
Yukon Territory Hunting Information
The Yukon Territory is a legendary hunting destination. Hunters from all over the world travel to the Yukon for wilderness adventure hunting at its finest. This rugged, remote and beautiful province is nearly untouched by man. It is similar in size to the state of California but with a population of only about 30,000 residents. The Yukon is a vast, pristine wilderness that holds a tremendous variety of trophy game species. You should be in excellent physical condition to maximize your success and to enjoy the Yukon experience.
Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
