Moose Hunt
This is my second hunt at this lodge but my first Moose hunt. Arrived by float plane on sept 3 rd , and treated like family .The food is exceptional. Lodge accomodations are very comfortable with generator providing light , and showers with wood stove heat at main lodge. Taken to spike camp by horse back on sept 4 th which was a 3.5 hour ride with unbelievable scenery including the Alaskan moutain range as we travelled mostly on the iditarod trail in a valley of low blueberries and scattered willows. Spike camp was a cabin that comfortably slept 3 -4 people on Halfway lake with a coleman stove for cooking , and wood stove for heat .Food was great in spike camp including ribs , beef , bacon , pancakes and ptarmigan shot from camp. Spot and stalk hunting was the method .Saw caribou, moose , black bear and ptarmigan from camp . Attempted stalk on sept 4 th on mature caribou but busted at 600 +yards. Shot a six foot 4 inch boar black bear on 3 rd day of hunt . Saw large number of black bears . Caribou seen most days but no other opportunities to stalk. Moose seen most days but mostly cows with and without calves and bulls with less than 50 inch racks.Returned to main lodge by horse back on day 7 and shot Spruce grouse on the way . On day 8 , saw 3 moose as riding out to a new area to spot for the day including small Bull and 2 cows. Within 10 minutes , saw 3 more cows , a small bull then a trophy bull across a high flow river called the Happy River. After sizing him up , river was crossed on horse back ( which was an adventure in and of itself) , and this beautiful bull was succesfully harvested with a 300 winchester mag . We skinned it , butchered it and packed out some meat then returned the next day for remainder of meat , cape and antlers with two extra pack horses. Entire experience was exceptional . Had pleasure of meeting all the guides and 1/2 dozen other hunters. All guides seem to work very hard for their hunters . Game animals are highly prevalent . I highly recommend this lodge . As a foot note, harvested a boar grizzly with same lodge in august 2010 as well as a black bear and many spruce grouse with same positive experience and eight grizzly sitings in total .

Yukon Territory Hunting Information
The Yukon Territory is a legendary hunting destination. Hunters from all over the world travel to the Yukon for wilderness adventure hunting at its finest. This rugged, remote and beautiful province is nearly untouched by man. It is similar in size to the state of California but with a population of only about 30,000 residents. The Yukon is a vast, pristine wilderness that holds a tremendous variety of trophy game species. You should be in excellent physical condition to maximize your success and to enjoy the Yukon experience.
Ontario Hunting Information
Ontario is often considered a sportsman's paradise. This large province contains huge sections of wilderness, filled with thousands of lakes that provide excellent habitat for Canada moose and black bear. Excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass and other species can often be combined with a hunt. From spike camps to 5-star lodges, there are lodges, guides and outfitters for every adventure and every taste.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
