Terrible Outfitter
This outfitter was very unorganized to say the least. After trying to book a family hunt with a multitude of outfitters I finally found this one online and booked a hunt. There was a reason Piuoneer outfitters is not represented by any consultants or booking agents. It was a terrible disaster from the beginning out of a 12 day hunt we only managed 3 decent days in the field. The wranglers and guides were constantly at each others throats and tension was high for the duration of the hunt. After returning from this hunt I did some research online and found plenty of poor ratings. I also found a booking agent who represented these guys in the past and was informed that the reasons I am stating is the reasons they no longer represent them.

Hunt from hell
First went with pioneer in sept2010, Arrived in camp with 3 other hunters, 2 of the hunters left on second day in late afternoon, pioneer outfitters never get going in the morning, myself and other hunter waited in camp for 6 days, our guideowner Terry Overly and manager Amber Dibble, they were bringing in horses, rode out of camp on the afternoon of our seventh day, got to camp after dark. I woke up guide and outfitter next morning, they had slept in. Rode out of camp at 11:30, started to rain rode back to camp and slept in a tent that leaked and were wet all night,Never saw an animal worst nightmare of a hunt you could imagine.

Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
Kansas Hunting Information
Kansas is one of the top producing monster whitetail buck states in the country. It also has some excellent turkey hunting and a few big mule deer in the western part of the state. Kansas has an excellent reputation as a top notch destination for upland birds. It has excellent populations of pheasant and quail due to the vast expanse of suitable prairie and grassland type habitat.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
