Just ok

If you want a big bear, you need to part of the inner circle of hunters that troy has blessed. Otherwise, you hunt from the ground, and will see plenty of small bear. The 2:1 guide to hunter ratio is also a joke. They stack 5 men with weapons in a 2 door truck. Not great for us bigger guys :) For what it's worth, I had a much better experience in Manitoba.

Food Quality: best ever

Guide Experience: very good

Other Personal Experience: good

Overall Impression: great hunt

Recommend: yes

Reviewer Comments: This was my second black bear hunt with NAO. May 18-23, 2009. Troy and his guides did everything possible to put our group of 8 hunters on quality game. This is a very professional run operation and they provide a great hunt with personal service to each hunter. I have hunted with many other outfitters in Canada and the US, this one is by far the best. You will not believe the accomodations of the lodge and food once you get to camp (Slave Lake). I am the most impressed with the honesty and hard work ethic of Troy Foster. I would recommend booking early, Troy sells out every year for all his hunts. I also hunter whitetails last year with Troy. I shot a 167 inch two hours into the hunt.

Vast wilderness areas and pristine coastlines provide world class adventure hunting for those seeking that trip of a lifetime.
