Species Hunted: caribou

Game Quality: very good

Accommodation Quality: good tents

Camp Condition: good

Food Quality: very good & hot

Guide Experience: excellent

Other Personal Experience: excellent

Overall Impression: Loved it!

Recommend: absolutely!

Reviewer Comments: The first few days saw only bulls in groups of 1 through 4 after everyone tagged out (2) a north wind came in and we saw about 400 in one day.Accomodations were comfortable.Norpaq owns its planes including the commercial flight from Montreal to Schefferville, only hunters on the flight. We had to wait for hunters to come out of the bush so they just held the flight,no schedule when you own the plane.Hassle free, accomodating, friendly,I can't say enough.

Reviewer Comments: Norpaq is a first class operation. From the time I started planing this trip all the way to the completion of the hunt Norpaqs people were fantastic.Everthing was as they said it would be,no fancy promises were made. They were true to their word and great people to deal with. The hunt started a little slow, the herd had stalled about 20 miles from camp.We were moved as promised 120 miles to another camp, could of tagged out that day if we wanted to.Fishing was great, the cook(LILY)was oustanding, the guides(PERRY,BRET,FRANK AND JAMES)busted their tails for us and were great to be with. My final comment is there is no guarantee, thats why they call it hunting, but Norpaq works hard at giving you a successful and a enjoyable experience.

Species Hunted: Caribou

Game Quality: Good

Accommodation Quality: Fair

Camp Condition: Poor

Food Quality: Brought our own

Guide Experience: None; camp man excellent

Other Personal Experience: N/A

Overall Impression: Fair

Recommend: Yes

Reviewer Comments: The hunt was excellent for our older hunters, considering there were not alot of animals. Hunting consisted of sitting on shore and waiting for the caribou to cross the lake. You then moved up or down the shoreline and shot them when they came out of the water. They took some fairly nice bulls, but the style of hunt wasn't to my liking. I was envisioning glassing and stalking in the higher elevations (which I did) or sitting on funnel areas, but not enough bou to make it worthwile.
