outstanding!
Great place! I've been there twice and I am booked for the first week of bear season 2013. The hunting is great and the accommodations and food alone are well worth the trip! Rick and Nancy are great people and will treat you as though you've known them your whole life

Maine Bear Hunt - Awesome!
100% Success Rate. My brother shot a boar black(200 lb) bear day 1 and i shot my sow (175 lb) on day 2. Our guide rick was very professional, educational orientation, fun, and set us in premiere blind/stands. We both had many bear come to our bait prior to harvesting the bear we chose. ALso, float fished for smallmouth and caught over 100 fish, with many fish in the 4-5 pound range. Accomadations were top notch/5 star, close to town, and the food was out of this world. Homemade blueberry pie, moose steaks, bear, lobsters, etc. ALready booked our hunt for 2014. Highly recommened. Thanks Rick and Nancy.

Bear Hunt
Rick and Nancy run an outstanding guide service and are super people. My company has taken customers on black bear hunts with Mountain View Drifter for 5 years and I'm planning on returning again this year. I personally have hunted with them twice. Food and accommodations are top notch and they both work very hard to make sure you have a great experience. They only book a few hunters every year so you really get personal attention. My first year I shot a 400+ lb 18 3/4" bear my first day on the stand after seeing 5 separate bears that afternoon. My second year I saw bears from my stand but was set on shooting one larger than the year before. My customers tagged out and we headed for home early. Book with confidence that you'll have a great hunt.

Bear
My wife and I hunted with Rick and were VERY happy. I am a trapper and asked Rick I if I could trap a bear and he agreed. Actually caught 3 bears that week and turned loose 2. Took a HUGE bear on the last day. Came back with my best friend and my sons the next year and we all had a great time. 3 of the 4 of us took a bear and my youngest son did get a shot but missed. I have to say that Rick and Nancy are the BEST. Quality hunt all the way. Food was fantastic. Plenty of bears on the stands every day. You cant go wrong with this Outfitter!

Reviewer Comments: Rick is mainly a bear hunter and I drew a tag for zone 10, his main bear zone. Read a review on this site about his bear hunting operation and what a hard working outfitter he was. That was the best decision I ever made. I got my bull on the fourth day of the hunt. I was meat hunting and was thrilled with my moose (489lbs of meat). The other hunter took a 50" 1100lb bull that Rick tracked for almost two days before recovering it. We hunted in places and bogs so thick I was hoping not to see a moose because of the difficulity of getting it out, but all Rick would say was "shoot it now - get it out later". I wish all guides were this dedicated to their clients. Even if you don't draw a tag for wmd's 9,10 or 11, I would give him a call for a recommendation.

Manitoba Hunting Information
Manitoba is known as a top destination for avid waterfowl hunters. Huge flocks of ducks and geese can be found from the Arctic coast of Hudson Bay to the prairie potholes on the southern border of this Canadian province. There is no legal requirement for non-resident waterfowl hunters to use a guide, but many are available and a high percentage of non-Canadian hunters utilize them. In addition black bear, Canada moose and whitetails are hunted throughout the province.
New Mexico Hunting Information
New Mexico is one of the top destinations for trophy Elk and Antelope hunting. Draw odds can be tough depending on the unit but landowner tags are also available for those who don't draw. Mule Deer are plentiful but generally of average size. Only a couple of units and reservations consistently produce big muleys.
Iowa Hunting Information
Iowa is one of the best Midwestern states for monster whitetail bucks. Non-residents must apply for a tag in their annual drawing. Archery tags are the most sought after and depending on what units you apply for generally take 2-4 years to draw.
