Outstanding trip to Hawkins Ridge
Just returned from great trip to Hawkins Ridge, southwest of Eufaula, Alabama. Our group of six shot a fine ten point and several other deer. Craig Hawkins, and his guides Andy and Jonathan, were outstanding. They made us feel welcome, and worked hard to ensure we had a great hunt. Wind chill values were 7 below Tuesday morning and still below zero Wednesday morning. Craig and the guys did all they could to ensure our comfort. The lodge is beautiful, and the wood burning fireplace sure felt good. Beds were comfortable and food was outstanding. One note, this is rough country with very steep hills and even steeper bottoms. There are lots of good deer here and a few hogs too. It was a great trip and we have already re booked for next year.
