Reviewer Comments: My wife & I booked this hunt because we have always wanted to hunt Texas but we were not interested in a high-fence operation. The hunt was primarily for her because I thought it would be relatively easy.I am also a licensed hunting guide for the state of Montana so I know what is important in this business and what questions to ask. This turned out to be one of the most enjoyable hunts I have ever been on.Everything about the hunt was way more then we expected. On a 4 day hunt we saw 78 different bucks, several flocks of rio grande turkeys , many javelina , elk , and predators.Everyone in camp had the same results and all harvested great animals. Bucks averaged from the upper teens to upper 130s.(Bucky also has a trophy ranch but this hunt is such an incredible bargain and we saw bucks in the 140 class.) There are tower blinds , pop-up blinds , tri-pod blinds , ground blinds. You can spot and stalk , you can rattle , you can hunt safari style from a jeep.It is just positively incredible. We had the time of our lives but more important , we met 2 of the most fun-loving , caring , and honest people ever. Bucky and Leesa Bonner. Check it out. You won't be sorry. Joe Foreman

Reviewer Comments: They have a great web site & promise you the moon. My first impression of the "lodge" was that I have been kicked-out of better places. The Ranch Foreman, Bill & the only guide, Matt were hillarious. The best cheap entertainment you could find, but the hunting sucked. We hunted box blinds that had been over-hunted, hell, I could smell the scent of humans all over them. Lots of deer to look at, but the quality was poor. Small bucks and lots of them. They tell you the average size buck harvested will be 140, no way will it happen. I shot a 130" 8-point and it was the biggest buck taken or seen the week I was in camp and from the group that was in camp a week prior to our hunt. I kind of felt like my group was a burden to them, the only thing Bucky wanted to do was relax and drink beer. If you want a place to go party, this is your outfitter, but if you're a serious hunter, pass them by.

Reviewer Comments: They have a great web site on Realtree.com, but it is truly misleading. They stated average whitetail would be 120-140 B&C. I harvested a 126 B&C and it was the biggest buck anyone in camp had seen, including mulies. The accommodations were dismal. Thin mattresses on plywood beds, the house we stayed in was in shambles. I hate to be critical, but save your money.

Alberta Hunting Information

Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.
