Hunting Disappointment
I was very disppointed with my hunting experience here. I have hunted large tracks of land in New England and have shot several significant white tail. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The expense of getting to the lodge, etc makes this a very expensive mistake for someone who has been spoiled with a successful hunt.
Outfitter Response: We pride ourselves on offering a quality hunting experience to all of our guests. This guest made positive comments to us about the service we offered, leaving us thinking they were happy and having a good time although the weather during their stay wasn't ideal, which caused the hunting to be challenging. (Extreme cold front with high winds) Anthony’s party choose to start at 9:30 am one morning vs. 6:30 am (recommended start time). They requested to end the hunt early (twice), at 3:00 pm due to cold. They admitted they didn’t prepare for the cold weather and they needed to make phone calls. Another day, they departed to hunt in the morning with arrangements to meet the guides at noon. The guests didn't return to meet them. Our guides were available daily with suggestions to increase the harvesting opportunities, which were not accepted. Anthony’s party did depart early without our knowledge or paying the remainder of their bill. If a bad experience is encountered, it is encouraged to speak with the Management in order to address the issue you have. We at White Pine Lodge offer references. We want everyone to have an enjoyable vacation with us and will go the extra mile to help in any way we can to make it a successful hunt. We are sorry that the hunter’s decisions reduced their harvesting opportunities. It is unfortunate for these hunters, but the other hunters in camp that week persevered and followed the guide recommendations and were successful and continue to hunt with us.

Illinois Hunting Information
Illinois is widely known as a top trophy whitetail destination. Illinois also has some great waterfowl hunting, especially in southern portions of the state.
Alberta Hunting Information
Alberta is a large, diverse province with rolling prairies, farmland, river bottoms, Boreal forests, and large expanses of the northern Rocky Mountains. Many species of big game, waterfowl, upland game and predators inhabit Alberta. Long known for monster whitetails, Alberta also is home to big mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, cougar, Canada moose, and bighorn sheep. In fact, 7 of the 10 largest bighorn sheep in Boone and Crockett record book are from Alberta. In addition to big game, Alberta offers some top notch bird hunting. Serious waterfowlers know about the large flocks of ducks and geese that call Alberta home or migrate through.
Yukon Territory Hunting Information
The Yukon Territory is a legendary hunting destination. Hunters from all over the world travel to the Yukon for wilderness adventure hunting at its finest. This rugged, remote and beautiful province is nearly untouched by man. It is similar in size to the state of California but with a population of only about 30,000 residents. The Yukon is a vast, pristine wilderness that holds a tremendous variety of trophy game species. You should be in excellent physical condition to maximize your success and to enjoy the Yukon experience.
