no animals
Very disappointing hunt, Good meals, good horses, okay accomadations but no animals. Four very experienced hunters, seven days, saw one elk running while riding in and 6-8 whitetail does for the week. Ad says 75% opportunity on elk and 100% on whitetail bucks....not even close.
Outfitter Response: I was dissapointed in thier lack of success myself, but that is how elk hunting in big timber often can go. Elk are were you find them and sometimes were you can't find them. We have had 75% kill on mature bulls the previous 2 years on guided hunts. They were in a drop camp and basically on thier own. Our deer hunts that are guided rut hunts in november are also nearly 100% kill for over a decade. Different hunt at a different time. One of the hunters in this group sent me a completely positive review, except that he had wished he had taken a guided hunt. These hunters are great guys and I hope they have great success in future hunts. Thanks Frank

An Adventure of a Lifetime!
My husband and I have hunted in South Africa and own a ranch in the Texas Panhandle where we hunt every opportunity. Before our arrival at White Bird Summit Lodge, Frank and Terri prepared us for all possibilities. There was a rapid weather change just after our arrival to the hunting camp and we were ready! Our lodging and food was excellent! Our horses were perfect even for our novice riding abilities. Frank was very patient and worked within my hunting abilities, but I was given no "Free" ride! I worked for a Trophy of a Lifetime! I harvested a 340 6x6 bull at the end of the first day! (With 1 bullet BTW) Since it was the end of the day, after many incredible photos, my husband and I rode the remaining way back to camp before dark and Frank stayed behind to field dress the bull. My husband and Frank (1x1) hunted the remaining 6 days coming within sometimes 30 yards (but in dense brush) of multiple bulls. Just didn't get a clear shot. Which is called HUNTING! Terri and Frank went above and beyond for us during and after our hunt! I will come back! I just don't know where we will put the next mount! Because this bull is HUGE! You will NOT regret hunting with LocKey U Outfitters!

misrepresentation of animals seen
Advertised 75% elk and 100 % whitetail.....four experienced hunters hunted 7 days and saw no bears, no whitetail bucks and the tail end of one elk while riding....Elk sige was there, full moon and rain may have played a part but to see no animals in seven days of hunting was very disppointing. Cook was great, horses were good, wrangler was great but again no animals...6-8 doe whitetail between all of us.

Reviewer Comments: Frank and Terri Schmittz run a top notch service. Terri is an awesome cook. Frank is bar-none the nicests guy on this planet! They're not out to get your money. They really care about getting you a cat and they work hard at it. The guide I had was Scott Richards. Him and his hounds are the scurge to cougar. We treed cougar twice on tracks that were two days old. Both cats were 150lbs. It would be over his dead body that you'd go home without a cat!

Saskatchewan Hunting Information
Saskatchewan is home to giant whitetails and skies filled with waterfowl. Saskatchewan is located in the northern part of the central flyway and harbors huge numbers of migrating ducks and geese. Canada moose and black bear are plentiful. Hundreds of outfitters are available to provide whatever kind of hunt a guy or gal needs.
Utah Hunting Information
Utah has recently been outstanding for trophy elk, but the best tags take many years to draw. Utah does have conservation tags available for purchase that allow hunters to bypass the drawing. Given the high demand for these premium tags prices can be high. In the past Utah has been a top trophy mule deer state but recently only a handful of units consistently produce B&C caliber deer.
Ontario Hunting Information
Ontario is often considered a sportsman's paradise. This large province contains huge sections of wilderness, filled with thousands of lakes that provide excellent habitat for Canada moose and black bear. Excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass and other species can often be combined with a hunt. From spike camps to 5-star lodges, there are lodges, guides and outfitters for every adventure and every taste.
