Took money and ran
I signed up for a fall moose hunt 2014 and had to pay up front $6500 and he never fulfilled his obligation. The new outfitters also lost money from this Bruinsclaw. No calls were returned and there seems to be little recourse to collect the money that this man (Bjorn) scammed from me.

Go Somewhere Else
Do not trust this outfitter. We traveled over 1800 miles to find out that they lied about our camp and their baiting efforts. They show a huge black bear on their website that they won't let you hunt. This is not an outfitter to trust. Saskatchewan has great bears and there are lots of reputable outfitters to chose from. Just not this one!!

Best Hunt Ever
My son and I made the trip to Canada in June of 2009. We had never planned a trip like this before. Booking this trip with Bruins Claw Outfitters was the best decision I have ever made. Hunting with Bruins Claw Outfitters was like hunting with family.They made us feel right at home.They are a great bunch of guys that really work hard for their clients. We enjoyed the experience so much that we have booked a hunt for the 2012 fall season.I highley recommend Bruins Claw Outfitters to hunt with. Ripped off
Bruins Claw failed to honor its contracts. I became disabled. The owner Bjorn Weippert agreed to refund my $1000.00, but has not done so. I do not recomend any Americans to spend your hard earned US Dollars with this outfitter, he is a cheat. I only rated him a one star, but would rate him a -1000 if I could.

Watch out for this guide
This guide drinks heavily during the day, has clients use their own vehicle to post to stands, runs a marginal outfit. I know he took tips from his guides to make ends meet during the week. Poor equipment maintenance. Uses illegal workers, i.e. US citizens not on a working visa as staff.

Black bear hunt
A friend and I recently went on the spring bear hunt not knowing what to expect. The crew at Bruins Claw more than met our expectations....and never on a bear hunting trip have I seen the size of bears we encountered. I would only recommend this outfitter if u enjoy the deep outdoors, or would want the chance to kill a giant bear.. Thanks again guys.

Have hunted with Bjorn several times in Ontario. Booked my retirement hunting and fishing trip in Saskatewan with him. Was talked into helping guide hunters. In short didn't get to hunt or fish, 5 weeks of work with no pay. Didn't even get my deposit back. And I know 2 others who worked for him this year who got stiffed also. DON'T TRUST THIS OUTFITTER!!!

Spring bear hunt @ Bruinsclaw Outfitters
This was our 2nd time hunting with Bruinsclaw Outfitters. Our 1st trip was in June 2009. We took our 19 year old son with us. My husband and I were both successful but unfortunately our son wasn't, this is part of the reason we wanted to go back. This time we also brought our 15 year old son. Once again our outfitters took great care of us. They worked very hard at making sure our trip was a success for everyone especially our boys! Our oldest son is blind and some times we needed to make adaptations to the sight where they were hunting. They always made sure where ever he & my husband hunted that everything would be perfect for my sons needs. They were so helpful and a lot of fun too. The food they fed us was excellent. No losing weight on this trip. We would highly recommend Bruinsclaw Outfitters.
